Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Style My Outfit ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information we collect

• Phone number — used as your account identifier and for one-time password (OTP) verification.
• Profile data — the names and gender labels you create for family/personal profiles (e.g., His, Her, Kids).
• Wardrobe data — the clothing photos, names, brand, cost, category, and wear history you add yourself.
• Device data — a randomly generated device identifier used purely to remember your device so you don't have to re-enter OTP every time. We do not collect IMEI, advertising ID, or device fingerprints.

2. What we do NOT collect

• We do not collect your location.
• We do not access your contacts, microphone, or SMS history.
• We do not sell your data to third parties. Ever.

3. How we use your data

• To show your wardrobe across your devices when you log in.
• To generate AI-powered outfit recommendations, wardrobe gap analysis, and travel packing lists using your wardrobe data.
• To send you a one-time SMS code for authentication.

4. Third-party services we use

• Google Gemini (Vision) — for image analysis (auto-tag clothing) and background removal. Images are sent securely and not stored by the model provider.
• SMS provider (Twilio / MSG91) — for delivering the OTP code only.
• MongoDB Atlas — our managed database where your wardrobe is stored encrypted in transit and at rest.

5. Data retention

Your data is stored as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the in-app profile menu → "Delete account". When you do, all your items, outfits, signature bag entries, OTP records and device sessions are permanently removed from our servers within 24 hours.

6. Children's privacy

The app is intended for users aged 13 and above. Kid profiles are managed only by the adult account holder; we do not knowingly create accounts directly for children.

7. Your rights

• Access — see all the data we hold about you in-app.
• Correction — edit any item, profile, or detail directly inside the app.
• Deletion — fully delete your account via Profile → Delete account.
• Portability — contact us to receive an export of your data.

8. Security

We use HTTPS in transit and industry-standard storage encryption. OTP codes are hashed before storage and expire after 5 minutes. Device sessions expire after 90 days of inactivity.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The latest version is always available in the app. Material changes will be flagged on next login.
